12 Countries in 12 Months

So it has been a long time in the planning but now Rich and I are excited to share our upcoming travel plans.

We are going to do a year of travel; 12 countries in 12 months (give or take). This will give us roughly one month per country, which should be enough time to fully explore the main sites and also some of the smaller, more remote places which we often find are the most interesting.

Our rough itinerary looks as follows:

2017
June: Russia
July: Mongolia
August: China (& Hong Kong)
September: Japan
October: Nepal
November: Myanmar
December: Thailand

2018
January: Laos
February: Cambodia
March: Vietnam
April: The Philippines
May: Indonesia

As with any long term trip flexibility is useful so we expect these plans will change and evolve as the year progresses.

We are looking forward to immersing ourselves in a variety of cultures, people, places and nature. Rich does some amazing photography which he will regularly be adding to his Instagram and we are both looking forward to keeping you up to date with blog posts whenever we can. We will also be putting together a series of posts in the run up to leaving, so keep an eye out for those.

Let us know if you have any questions, tips or advice and wish us luck!
